11/12/08 - Matan Breaks Ground on 330,000-SF National Cancer Institute Facility

Matan broke ground Wednesday on a new 330,000-SF National Cancer Institute facility at Riverside Research Park, which is located adjacent to Riverside Five. This new facility will house the advanced technology research facility for NCI and is slated to open in early 2011. Riverside Research Park is the first and only world-class biomedical research park with a synergetic campus setting located in Frederick, Maryland. Current tenants include Charles River Labs, a 54,000-SF vivarium. The 177-acre park can accommodate up to a total of 1.8 million SF of lab, R&D and office space.
